Autumn//Winter ‘21 Part I
These are iterations of our first logo.
We ended up not going with it due to it looking too tech, and I wanted our logo to look good on anything.
I watched a bunch of branding videos and tried to learn a lot about typography. I paid someone to design our logo originally, then just ended up designing it myself because sometimes that’s how things get done.
You can say these inspired the first look book, but not necessarily. We just wanted it to feel like this.
The first look book was shot at Hampton University, it was perfect. S/O to Jeff Graham for the eye.
We took the trip with Terry Suave to Hampton VA, weekend was very fun. S/O to Terry Suave.
This is how Jeff and I communicated how we wanted the logo to go on the hoodies to the manufacturer.
I wanted to make sure details were all through out the hoodies and I'm always going to choose quality over going the cheap route.

Our first tag, which had a typo. Always proof read anything that goes to the public, have someone (preferably a woman) proof read it.

The first day our product landed, we shipped it out. We did pre-orders, and it took about 2 months for our product to get here. If you choose to go this route please have the human decency to communicate with your customers where you are in the process.

This if from the Book "Branding" by Micheal Johnson.

This is important. We are still building our consumer profiles but you have to know the audience you are selling to. Don't enter any business haphazardly just releasing product, that you don't know who you are targeting it to.
I recommend anyone starting a brand to read this book first. It is so key, it would have saved us some mistakes if I would have read it before we started. Bobby Hundreds is a legend and the Hundreds was one of my favorite brands growing up. Me and My Brother Keldin use to trade/share Hundreds shirts. Full circle!
